My reflections from July 🔥💪🏼

July has been an amazing month for me. From the one talk I did in June, I’ve made meaningful connections with whom I am partnering to do some amazing collabs.

Many times, in life we are given opportunities. We feel we are not ready and try to postpone them. Sometimes, the doors are not knocked twice and we regret having said ‘no’ to the opportunity when it presented itself. Well, I have done that many times too. The speaking gig was a similar chance which I almost said ‘no’ to because it was presented to me very quickly and I was not sure if I could do it. However, I embraced it.

I spent many hours preparing to deliver my very best and it is my nature to be thorough. But the results from that preparation blows my mind. A local councillor was at this event and she introduced me to amazing people. People at the event started reaching out to me to connect. It feels like all of a sudden, I am being showered by the Universe with blessings to do beautiful work in what I am passionate about – women’s empowerment.

If you feel stuck, know that when the time is right, things will align and opportunities will present. For now, you just need to put one foot in front of another and prepare yourself to say ‘yes’ at the right time.

Book I’m (re)reading

The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks

I’ve read this book a few years ago and it recently presented itself when I was looking for a book that I could re-read. Call it divine intervention or timing because as I started reading it, I realised that ‘Upper Limit’ has been playing in my life and was recently trying to creep back in. I’m glad I caught it in time as I don’t want to be Upper Limiting myself when I’m starting a new expansion into my zone of genius. If you’re curious, grab a copy and read. I can assure you; your life can change to a whole new level.

By the way, I’ve had a few down moments too and I don’t want to bore you with all of it. There is one thing I’d like to share though. From the many connections, I had one meeting where I was invited to a networking event. It is an event where the aim is to build relationships rather than exchange business cards. In fact, you are not even allowed to talk about business and it is intended to help people connect on a deeper level.

When I was asked to come along, I was excited. I then started questioning whether I should go. Reasons came up not limited to – the cost and others. Journaling and sitting with my feelings and thoughts helped me analyse this. Because I started reading The Big Leap, I realised this was an Upper Limit problem. Quickly, I quashed the negative thoughts and registered for the event. It was a fun and fabulous event where I met some really lovely people.

That’s it from me for this month. Hope you had a fabulous month too!
