Sharing my private journal entries for March 📓

After a break of nearly two months, I am excited to be sharing my reflections from the month of March.

A big focus for me this month has been on moving my body more. I am now doing yoga 5 days a week and going to a yoga-shala to do this means I am committed to my practice, with a group of like-minded people. The conversations that happen post-class reveal that people are not just coming there to do yoga but to connect on a deeper level with themselves, others and with the Universe.

This is the power of a community. We can often find answers to our most burning questions and problems in different ways. Initially, I joined this community so I can move my body more and explore deeper aspects of the body. But in every class, I get something more than that. Before we start the class, we set an intention and I normally set the intent that ‘let me be able to receive mentally and physically what my body needs today’. I always leave with a sense of peace and positivity after the class – be it Yin Yoga or a faster-paced class.

The second theme that I observed this month is to live in a place of love rather than fear. Life is like a river and it will flow; it will never be stagnant. This applies to both likeable and unlikeable situations. Accepting this will help us live life in a positive way. That doesn’t mean that bad events or situations are easy to handle. It is living with the knowledge that this too shall pass.

When I had a rough moment this month, I went back to using one of the tools in my toolkit to get through it. For some, it may be meditation, and for others, it can be going to a place of worship. Whatever it is for you, use it when you feel life is not just the way it should be.

On one of the podcasts I listened to, I heard this and it will be with me as we move forward in 2023.

You can’t miss what is meant for you

The third theme that I noticed is to not live in a state of ‘poor me!’. I’ve said this before and I will say it again. Life is a roller coaster and there will be ups and downs. The Universe always works in your favour. When you feel sorry for yourself, try taking some action – any inspired action because things will shift energetically. The Universe works in miraculous ways; so, believe in Inspired Action rather than victim mentality.

On a social note, I got to celebrate International Women’s Day personally (with my friends) and professionally. It was inspiring to listen to Carolyn Creswell talk about her journey and how Carman became a successful multi-million dollar business.

That’s it from me folks. If any of the above resonated with you, please reach out to me and share your thoughts. I love hearing from you all.
